PROJECT DESCRIPTION
Twin & Chic was born almost at the same time as the twins of its founder, Erika Gómez, as a result of her unsuccessful search to find products made from sustainable materials, respectful of the skin of children, nature and people who works throughout the value chain.
It was then when he created Twin & Chic, a slow children's fashion firm with a timeless, healthy, sustainable, organic, recyclable style and with a very clear purpose: to care for the future of our children.
Under the claim of the #futureisforourchildren, the three fundamental pillars that define the activity's roadmap come together, and which are the following Sustainable Development objectives:
Erika has a degree in Business Administration and Management and a Master in Finance from the University of the Basque Country and the University of Bordeaux, and from the BBVA School of Finance. After more than 14 years in the field of finance and financial consulting at firms such as BBVA or KPMG, in 2017 he founded Twin & Chic. Subsequently, he studied at the ISEM Fashion Business School (University of Navarra) the PADEM program for managers in the fashion sector, and recently, the The Right Product program, on health, safety and traceability in the fashion industry, also at school business for fashion ISEM, from the University of Navarra. She is also a cooperative member of Impact Hub Donostia.
Rafael is co-founder of Twin & Chic. Rafa is a Telecommunications Technician and Graduated in Multimedia from the Open University of Catalonia with a specialization in User Experience. With more than 7 years of experience as a Front End developer, he has worked on several projects that impact millions of monthly users, helping to improve products, improving SEO positioning, and implementing and optimizing SEM campaigns.
Xabier is founder and CEO of PIT Ideas (pit.cool). Until 2016, he was CEO of the Arista group, which was the largest independent advertising agency in Spain with more than 270 people. There he developed the agency locally and internationally, where he led the internationalization opening offices in Mexico D.F., Lima and Montevideo, in addition to developing, obtaining large accounts, the Miami office, where he resided to direct LATAM operations. With a Master in Business Administration (ESADE / DEUSTO) and another in Internationalization, he has also given multiple talks and been a teacher in different modules and seminars.
Nin has been an advisor to Twin & Chic in sustainable fashion and circular economy, since the brand's inception. She is co-founder of the prestigious start-up Reverse Resources, which works, among other clients, for H&M or the United Nations, and which has been awarded with various international awards in the field of innovation in sustainable fashion. She previously founded and managed her own sustainable women's fashion brand in England, The Good One, for 9 years. She is a professor of sustainability at the prestigious UAL Central St Martins school in London.
Luis Lara has worked for more than 20 years in the fashion sector, holding different managerial responsibilities at Marks & Spencer, Disney, Inditex (where he was International Director), or Pronovias (General Director of his retail division). Subsequently, he created his own consulting company, from which he has helped different retail and fashion companies in international development. He is KPMG External Advisor for Deal Advisory projects, and Everis Senior Advisor in his Retail practice. He is an associate professor at ISEM Fashion Business School. He is co-author of the book "Why some stores sell and others not in the digital age" (Editorial Libros de Cabecera, 2018).

- ENVIRONMENT: Fashion is one of the most polluting industries in the world, generating 20% of wastewater, 10% of carbon emissions, 35% of microplastics released into the oceans, 24% of insecticides , and 70 million barrels of oil to produce polyester (Source: UN).
- LABOR RIGHTS: More than 50% of the people who work in the industry do not collect the minimum wage in their country (Source: SETEM). In addition to this, there are still countries where the workers are boys and girls. In the case of Delhi (India), where more than 8,000 children work in industry (Source: Save the Children).
- HEALTH: 43 million chemicals are used each year, some of which are toxic, such as arylamines, paraffins, nickel, formaldehyde, ... causing physiological risks, carcinogenesis, mutagenesis, allergies, etc. (Source: Greenpeace).
- TRANSPARENCY AND TRACEABILITY: Consumers affirm that it is important that the garments they buy be manufactured by workers who are paid fairly (39%), without negative impact on the environment (37%), in healthy conditions (31%), without damaging animals (30%) and locally produced (10%) (Source: Fashion Revolution European Customer Survey2018).

- CARE FOR THE HEALTH OF CHILDREN: Twin & Chic uses healthy and toxic-free tissues. These are natural fabrics that respect the skin of boys and girls, originating from certified organic agriculture.
- RESPECT FOR THE ENVIRONMENT: Twin & Chic promotes responsible consumption using exclusively recycled and compostable low environmental impact fibers, and researching the latest innovations in sustainable materials. The company respects biodiversity using materials from certified organic agriculture, or wool from certified sustainable livestock. In addition, they minimize the use of plastics throughout the value chain, optimizing their packaging in an increasingly sustainable way.
- LOCAL PRODUCTION: Twin & Chic carries out all its production in Spain, in sustainable workshops that ensure living wages, the preservation of the craft and textile traditions and the quality of the garments. In addition, production in proximity allows greater flexibility and response to the customer.

IMPACT INDICATORS
1) Water saving: 50% less water is used in organic cotton manufacturing than in conventional cotton manufacturing.
2) Toxic pesticide savings: With organic cotton cultivation, no pesticides are used, while conventional cotton cultivation requires, on average, 5 grams of pesticides per kilogram of cultivated cotton.
3) Saving of synthetic fertilizers: With organic cotton cultivation 95% less synthetic fertilizers are used than conventional cotton.
4) Hours of artisan work: Twin & Chic has a special collection of "premium" artisan products, for which they collaborate with groups of women artisans to promote local crafts and preserve the cultural value of these crafts.
