Our impact

What mark would you like to leave on the world? More and more companies and investors are asking themselves this same question. At the Bolsa Social we see it clearly: we want to build an open community of investors and companies that contributes to creating a better society , that integrates all its members and take care of the planet on which we live. For this reason, we support projects of young companies that have the vocation to produce a positive impact, and we put them in contact with investors who seek a double profitability: economic and in terms of social impact.

The SDGs

The Sustainable Development Goals established by the UN in 2015 serve as a reference framework to understand what social challenges the companies in our community are facing.

The Theory of Change

At Bolsa Social we help companies to develop their Theory of Change (ToC). The ToC is a specific and quantifiable description of the project's social change objective. It all starts with asking the following question: What does the company want to improve in society?

This theory builds the basis for strategic planning, decision-making and evaluation of the positive impact that the company is producing. The ToC defines all the components necessary to achieve the long-term social impact objectives, and ends by defining the impact indicators that we will measure over time.

The impact indicators

Once the Theory of Change has been developed, we help the company define at least three measurable and quantifiable indicators that allow us to monitor the impact caused by companies over time.

These indicators are defined individually for each company. We do not have standard indicators, but we look for indicators that make sense for each activity and that reflect the real impact of all companies regardless of their sector. All projects that pass through the platform must report their social impact indicators to their investors, as they do with financial ones, on a quarterly basis once the investment round is closed.
